The Creekside Cabin is a privately owned, spacious, super insulated 1,600 sq. ft. authentic Lindal Cedar Home with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Situated next to a cold clear, year round creek on 65 private, beautiful wooded acres. Only minutes away from the best that Shasta County and the Shasta-Trinity National Forest of Northern California has to offer for a fun filled, relaxing vacation. Enjoy real peace and quiet in this vacation retreat located in the Shasta Lake/Upper Sacramento river area of Shasta County, California.
At an elevation of 1,500', The Creekside Cabin is a little cooler than the valley in the summer but low enough in elevation to miss the constant heavy snows of winter. This makes it an ideal place to stay while enjoying year-round activities from boating to snow skiing.
The cabin is completely private (no neighbors here!) and not visible from anywhere off of the property yet only 2 miles from the I-5 freeway. There is plenty of parking available near the house for your boat, personal watercraft and ATV's. Bring them and use them nearby!
The Creekside Cabin was built in the late 90's and has central air conditioning and heat, and a wood stove. Cedar decks extend from both the master bedroom and the kitchen area. The property is traversed by Dog and Cavanaugh creeks. Dog Creek is right near the house and Cavanaugh Creek meets Dog Creek just a ways from the cabin. These creeks run clear and cold all year and are home to wily native trout (catch and release only). The property is home to a great variety of wild life including deer, squirrels, ducks, wild turkeys, otters, osprey and many other birds. The songbirds are wonderful to hear and there is an abundant variety of butterflies. All 65 acres are yours to explore as you desire.
