| On the Popular Mesa! This fully-furnished, lovely property has partial ocean views and overlooks downtown Santa Barbara and its majestic mountains. Complete with wireless Internet access, the home is a three minute drive or peaceful walk to the beach (Hendrys, Arroyo Burro, Thousand Steps, East Beach), Mesa Village or downtown Santa Barbara. The home sits on the ocean side of town just above the city on the most peaceful, bright and pleasant spot in town. See guest comments below.
This clean and quaint home is perfect for get togethers with friends or a peaceful weekend away with the family.
Little ones will be safe in the fenced patio yard off the fully stocked kitchen and living room. You'll have great visibility of their play while you relax in the living room or cook in the kitchen.
The house has a pack n' play crib and high-chair making your trip to Santa Barbara a little easier!
A gas BBQ is provided as is a ping pong table (by request) for those table tennis stars in your party!
The two large bedrooms with vaulted ceilings include comfy queen beds. Bedroom one opens onto the patio and has views of the mountains and a sneak peak at the ocean. Bedroom two has a small TV with VCR (with a few kid-friendly movies) and twin foam bed, good for small adult, teenager or child.
This non-smoking home is walking distance to dining, shopping or other services at the Mesa Village Center. The Village includes Foster's Freeze, Starbucks, Manhattan Bagel, Lazy Acres (natural foods), Subway, Deano's Pizzeria, Smoothy Shop, Drug Store, Mira Bella Salon (hair, nails, facials, etc.) and grocery store. Restaurants in the Village include Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Tai, Tapas Bar and the Mesa Cafe with burgers, salads and great breakfasts. All are within walking distance from the house (12-15 minutes).
Two parks are nearby; A five minute walk to Hilda Ray Park, perfect for kids 6 and under. Escondido Park, complete with play structure, swings, and basketball court, is a 12 minute walk and good for kids of all ages. A public bus stop is also available, one block from the home.
House includes board games, puzzles and top rated DVDs which can be played on the living room DVD player.

"We stayed in this cozy cottage for a long weekend and loved it. It was perfect for our family of four. The photos don't do it justice - it's very cute, and very clean. The rooms were nicely decorated, and there were plenty of towels, extra blankets and pillows as well as kitchen utensils/plates, etc. We had a lot of fun with the ping-pong table, and enjoyed a couple of relaxing evenings barbecuing and enjoying the city view.
As an extra bonus, the house is close to everything. Since it's at the top of the hill, if you turn left you're on State Street in minutes - if you turn right, you're at the beach in minutes.
